Great Park and Summer Stage
The Great park stretches form the Water tower to the lake. Its planting begun back in 1840. It was designed in the tradition of English gardens and later reconstructed as a Baroque-style park. The park has an area of 19 hectares and creates a unique combination of natural environment and architectural heritage values. Hidden among high pine trees is the Summer Stage. It was made of uncut stone in the 1950s and since than it has been the venue of many concerts, festivals and performances. Today it is known as the venue of the European Film Festival.
